Why are my homekit devices constantly going offline?

Have always had occasional spottiness with a few homekit devices, but lately its going bonkers with most devices constantly going offline/online, sometimes in the same minute multiple times. Cameras are the most notorious, but even our few WeMo plugs are losing connection when they didn't used to.

Devices:

1 Logitech doorbell (was always spotty)

2 Logitech Circle View cams (usually reliable)

3 WeMo Smart Plugs (usually reliable)

1 WeMo Smart Light switch (solid)

HomeKit Hubs:

3 Apple TV 4K

2 Homepods

2 Homepod minis

Wifi network:

Netgear orbi, 3 stations mesh - sits in bridge mode behind Airport Extreme (main router)

Other wireless, but should not be a factor:

Philips Hue bridge and devices

Nest thermostat & smoke alarms

Insteon hub and light switches throughout house - looking to replace, but they are rock solid reliable. Just can't say "Hey siri" to them.

Questions:

  1. Is anyone experiencing recent, rampant HomeKit unreliability?
  2. Does one device instability affect others?
  3. Are more hubs always better?
  4. Is Wifi the big factor, or bluetooth? (e.g. try a different Wifi setup?)
  5. Are "thread" enabled Homekit devices the silver bullet?
  6. Does anyone have a fully homekit enabled house, and happy with it?

Sorry if this is the wrong topic/device - not work where "HomeKit" category is.
