Loads of SiriSearchFeedback Logs in Analytic Data

Everyday I notice at least 30 of these SiriSearchFeedback logs. Anyone have any insight into what they are?

(First off, I’m not tech very savvy.) And I’m not the paranoid type, but yes many things not working properly. Almost all my ram is being used, which is definitely a new thing. No websites on Safari are working properly. Links don’t work universally across a wide range of sites. Logging into anything is a chore that takes numerous attempts. Safari Web Inspector reveals “fail” or “Script error. [Eruda] Please call "eruda.init()" first.” My battery won’t hold a charge. There was an unknown device signed into my ICloud account (resolved, I think). And the list goes on. So in light of Apples recent security breach (I did update to iOS 15.6), I am very suspicious. And oh, there was and is a shutter app installed and used on my phone, even though I never installed it, never used it, and can’t even find it, but only its activity in Screen Time.

Apple itself didn’t report a security breach.

iPhone, iPad, and Mac were found exploitable, and iPhone and iPad were patched to iOS and iPadOS 15.6.1, and macOS to 12.5.1.

There’s no good way to look at RAM, so I’ll assume that was a reference to insufficient main storage. How much storage do you have on this iPhone? The 16 GB configuration is commonly a problem on more recent versions (it’s ~full), and running out of free storage will cause problems with performance and with stability.

That error is some node.js code and which get used all over, so unclear what’s happening with that. If the iPhone device ran out of storage, things can get confused.

If the configuration is causing problems, create a backup, and then perform a factory reset. If you’re unsure of what is installed, maybe don’t restore.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support (links to backup and restore are included there)

Also change your Apple ID password, review the Apple Security Recommendations in Settings > Passwords, add two-factor authentication if not already enabled, and review your security. Links to more info:

Based on what you’re posting, this could well be a corrupt or full device. A breach is certainly possible, but those have been less than common, and recent iPhone and iPad security attacks have been targeted at people and groups, and have not been more general.

Is something working or not working?

Apple routinely generates lots of chatter in the logs.

Much of it cryptic, and some scarily-worded, too.

These particular analytics log entries have been around for some years.

Your reported 30 entries is not remarkably different from previous reports.

Once or twice an hour is a negligible system load, too.

TL;DR: analytics and log contents are seldom useful to anyone other than an app developer and for the apps’ own logs, and for the folks at Apple.
