More than enough storage 50.12 GB, but Monterey says not enough? Unable to update to Monterey even though I have plenty of storage. Any workarounds??

Storage/memory. Monterey says I don't have enough - the updater suggests I have 25GB. Yet the storage thing says I have 37.Gb. Very annoying. I only have. 128 Gb hard drive (bad mistake, but why sell something that will ahve problems in the future) and I have nothing stored on it. i've deleted all office apps, all browsers except safari all photos all music.
