Virtual Home button permanent removal

The virtual home button will not go away-I have toggled Assistive touch off and actually seen it toggle right back on.I tried removing home button from top ten and Assistive short cuts but it just comes back-it wont even stay when dragged to side of the screen but pops back up bottom centre so I end up having emails closed and photo attempts cancelled and have to reopen what i was busy with.Unbelievably irritating having a phone override me countless times-even writing this Ive had to shunt home button off my keyboard multiple times….help!

I must apologise-the phone was refurbished by my husband and the actual home button replaced by a Apple approved repair outfit some years back before it was passed on to me but the battery was never replaced.The phone has functioned fine all this time-just last few days its been giving this issue.

Do you mean "bought as a refurbished iPhone 7 from Apple" ...or literally refurbished by your husband?

"...the battery was never replaced..."

That's unlikely with a capacity of 100% – unless it was bought as a refurbished iPhone 7 from Apple very recently.

I was puzzled at capacity too but husband emphatic it wasn't replaced.It was his phone and he paid to have it refurbished before handing kn to me.The iFix shops are apparently authorised Apple ‘workshops’.

How long ago was it replaced?

Was it replaced by a qualified technician using a genuine iPhone battery?...

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Hi.Hmmm-problem-Ifix does not feature in list for Southern Africa. I think I will just have to buy a brand new phone.Much appreciate your imput though.
