Deleting the macOS installer

Is it safe to delete the macOS installer? I was going though my storage and realized how much storage my macOS installer was taking up. If I delete this does it delete my whole macOS or just the installer? just want to be safe. thanks!!

Hi,

If it's in Applications, yes, it's safe to delete it. Just trash it like any other file and empty the trash.
