iTunes Remote won't connect to Music

This is a new development. I've used Remote and Music for years.

This morning nothing I do will get the Remote app on my phone to connect to the Music app on my iMac.

Both are on the same network. Both have family sharing turned on.

The iMac library shows up in the iPhone app, but it will not connect.

Anyone else have this issue, or know how to solve it?

Thanks!

Thanks for the effort merlinapple. No go.

I’ve been using iTunes Remote successfully for years. This is a new development that it’s not working.

I’ve been through all the steps of deleting and reading, and verifying family sharing , etc. nothing is working at this time.

The library I’m trying to control shows up as an option, the remote app just fails to connect.

I consistently get this error message, but as I’ve said, I have verified all of the network settings.

mikegaulco,

Are both your iPhone and iMac all up to date?
