Dell S2422HZ monitor with built-in web cam and Mac mini

I am using a Dell S2422HZ monitor with my Mac mini. Unfortunately I cannot see a way of setting up the built in web cam. In System Preferences it does not show apps next to the camera icon so cannot connect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dell USB C monitors don’t work very well with Apple desktop Macs when connected direct for one cable do it-all use.

So:

Disconnect the USB C cable from the mini and instead for video, use a regular HDMI cable 5’ or less (supplied, if not purchase) to connect port 3 of the display to the mini’s HDMI port.

For monitor data functions, including webcam, use this adapter or similar https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09WNBNH42/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3D1JJY67Y29KR&psc=1
and connect the USB A side of the adapter directly to the mini’s USB A port and the USB C cable from the Dell to the USB C side of the adapter.

Thank you for your response. The Mac mini is the latest version. It is connected UBC -C to UBC -C. I did read a suggestion for a different cable than the one supplied with Dell to ensure video capacity however it seems strange that Dell don’t send one as normal as the monitor is a video conferencing one.
