Monitor with built in webcam and Mac mini - the Mac mini does not see the Webcam.

Mac mini M2 with a 27" Apple Cinema Display. The Display is connected via a USB-C to Mini Display Port adapter. Works fine but the Mac mini does not see the built in Webcam, which worked fine when this Monitor was a second screen for my old iMac.

Any thoughts on a fix?

Is the display's USB cable plugged into the Mac mini?

It was not, Thank you, now it works!

I use a switch which allows the display to be used by two computers - it was plugged into that , but obviously unlike when I used the iMac that was not enough
