Why is my iCloud backup doesn’t get done

Automatic backup to iCloud will only occur when the iPad is both connected to its Power Adapter and WiFi - typically when the iPad is locked. Automatic backups will occur each 24hrs - or at the first opportunity thereafter.

Disable Cellular:

Use WiFi: Try disabling Cellular, then try this once more.
