Duolingo Sound

The sound is dropping out when I use Duolingo. I'm using a MacBook Pro 2021 updated with Monterey 12.5. It worked at first, and but after 2 days it stopped. I have read the previous posts on this and checked sound and microphones as suggested - but I can play music on my Mac so this must be a problem interfacing with Duolingo. It works fine on an older 2013 MacBook.

Studio Display - sound gone suddenly? Hello, I've been using my Studio Display for the past few months with no problems, love it in fact. Today, upon connecting my MacBook Pro 14" - there is very weird sound behavior. 1) In applications like Teams, FaceTime, etc - there is no sound coming through (even though Sound settings are set on Output and Input both in the application and in MacOS 12.4 to be Studio Display). The other party can not hear me either. 2) When I go to Apple Music, and start playing a song, it will play like 1-2 seconds then cut out -- almost as if there is a milisecond of static before it goes out. I have lots of Airplay 2 speakers and when I test the 'casting' to one of them, the music is playing just fine (from MBP casted to Airplay output). So there is definitely something that has happened with the Studio Display sound/microphone setup... I have not noticed any software updates specifically recently to Mac OS, I'm on 12.4 (21F79).

macbook air m2 2023 - audio sounds tinny on other computers I have a brand new 15" MacBook Air 2023 with the M2 chip. Everything looks and sounds great to me on video calls, but some users complain about the sound on their end being "tinny." The problem doesn't exist when I call those people from other devices, or when I test this with the other phones and computers we have in our house. Has anyone else experienced this issue? It's frustrating because I have a feeling it involves settings on these other peoples' computers. I know one of them is a MacBook Air he has owned for a while, not sure about the other.

Duolingo Sound Issues When using the app Duolingo on MacBook Air through Safari the lesson audio is there for the first lesson then disappears on subsequent lessons. No other app has this issue. This happens with or without use of headphones. Rebooting is not practical every time this happens. What are the alternatives?

Have you verified with the developer the app is Monterey compatible?

It seems to be an occasional problem with Monterey - or could be random.

It fixed itself when I next turned off the MacBook and reopened it.
