iPhone 7+ can't receive short code text messages

My iPhone 7+ stopped receiving short code text messages (short sender phone number) after I recently changed my cellular service provider. Is it possible for me to correct that in my settings? I need it for 2-step verification on websites.

Contact your cellular carrier. That’s a carrier feature, not a function of the phone.
