My daughter purchased a Crystal Top-Up on Genshin, and she had $80 credit on Apple Account balance. It charged her $53.49 for the $49.99 pack she purchased. It has never charged her more before. Can you explain why it charged her an additional $3.50? That does not seem right.
Please help me understand why it did this using the credit on her Apple Account. All other purchases were on my credit card. Is there a fee charged to use the Apple credit?

There is no fee for using the Apple account balance.
Is there a 7% sales tax where you are located?
If so, I don't know why it wouldn't have charged before.

Hi. Thank you for your response. The reason we are confused, is we moved a month ago to WV. We moved from VA. My daughter, just in the last week, bought several packs or items in game and it never charged more than what it showed on the game, i.e. $49.99, $5.99 etc. Last night, she made an in game purchase, and it charged us $3.50 on $49.99 and it charged us $2.10 on $29.99 pack. We lived in this new State, since June 27th. She made purchases in July on various dates and it never charged extra until last night.
We will contact Apple Support and see if they can explain why.
