How to reduce/clear Mac System data?

My mac has a total of 250GB of storage however the System Data takes up 200GB of this which is leaving me high and dry as i can't save new projects.

I've been through and deleted everything i don't use or need including the bin and all apps.

Any other tips?

Many thanks x

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.5

Please read See used and available storage space on your Mac - Apple Support. Pay particular attention to the description of System Data.

  • What Apple used to label "Other" is now labeled "System Data".
