macOS Monterey - Window size is not saved after a programme window is hidden and shown again

Hello,

the following annoying problem has been plaguing me since I switched to a Mac Studio:

If I hide an application window (or all windows of a programme) - either via the corresponding menu item ("Hide application XY") or via CMD + H - and then show it again, the window size selected before hiding (in my case regularly the screen height) is regularly forgotten. In other words, the application window is regularly only about 2/3 of the height of the screen. The lower edge of the window remains at the lower edge of the screen, the upper edge of the window is moved down about a hand's width from the upper edge of the screen. The window width is not affected and always remains constant.

The phenomenon does not occur every time the window is hidden or shown, but it does occur regularly.

It affects all Apple applications such as Safari and Mail, but also Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, Outlook and Teams.

I am using a Mac Studio, macOS 15.5, a 34-inch 3440 × 1440 resolution DELL U3421WE monitor, connected via an HDMI cable.

The problem occurs with macOS 15.5 and before that also with macOS 15.4.

I am grateful for any tips

Mac Studio, macOS 12.5
