I’ve tried three different types of mice for my MacBook Air and none of them let you program the side buttons. Does anyone know if this is even possible with a non-Apple branded mouse? I have a Logitech one that I really like but can’t use the side buttons, it’s driving me insane.

did you install the software from logitechs site? my logitech mx anywhere have some software called logitech options

There is no software available for 12.0 and later. I checked there first.

If there isn’t any Logitech software, there are some other third-party software that might work. USB Overdrive is one of them.
I thought of this, but wasn't sure what to search for in the app store. Thank you for the suggestion, but I couldn't find USB Overdrive in the App store.
