How to silence unknown callers on my MacBook?

Silencing calls from unknown callers works on my iPhone (iOS 15.6), but still "rings through" on my MacBook Pro (macOS 12.5). So, both "mbthebulldog" and I do know how to "link" them — just not how to "link" the silencing feature. A call that is appropriately silenced on my iPhone — quite annoyingly — still rings on my MBP.

Is there a setting to correct this, or is this "ringing through" just a bug?

Put differently:

(1) The iPhone is set to silence calls from unknown callers, so it (correctly) passes them to voice-mail, but also (incorrectly) forwards them to the "linked" devices (iPad, MBP). Is there a setting to prevent the forwarding of silenced calls, or is this a bug?

(2) Since the "linked" devices have the same "Contacts" (yes, they are on the same AppleID, etc.) and could determine on their own to silence unknown callers (that is a duplication of work, however), is there a setting to make them do so?
