Can’t access Apple Music in Family Sharing

I signed up for family sharing on Apple Music. According to my apple account, my son and daughter should both have access but only my daughter can open the app on her phone. My son is not able to access Apple Music in family sharing for some reason. He is 13 and I’ve got screen time active on his phone. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Thoughts?

It sounds as though you've set up Family Sharing and subscribed to an Apple Music family plan, but your son doesn't have access to Apple Music. To confirm, is the Music app not showing on your son's device? If not, Screen Time can vary likely be the reason why the app isn't showing. To check this setting, you'll want to review the "Set Content & Privacy Restrictions" section of the article below.
