Double click not working. Again? Montery 12.5

It's 2022 and I can't double click an icon to open a file (sometimes)? Yes, I've checked accessibility. I've restarted. I've prayed.

Between that and not being able to right click open with or access file names with a click, I'm wondering how things went so wrong.

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 11.5

Double click to open leads to renaming file When I try to double click to open a document, it highlights the name of the file for renaming. This started recently but is increasingly annoying. I don't want to right click to open my files. Has anyone found a solution to this problem that's not about adjusting the click/track speed, because that doesn't solve the issue.

Suddenly unable to search for keywords within a file in the files app Hi there, Recently (I’ve noticed in the past month and a half or so) whenever I am in a pdf file in the Files app, I am unable to search the file for keywords like I used to be able to. When I hit the search icon, the search icon disappears, but no search bar appears for me to type in. This happens in all my pdf files in Files and is becoming increasingly annoying as I have to manually search the file. Is there a fix for this on my end or is it a bug? Thanks!

actually its Macos 12.5 Monterey
