Are there any Thunderbolt 2 to ANYTHING LATER cable? Apple makes a useless TB2-TB3(USB-C) adaptor but forgot to run the power through it so it doesn't work with TB3 (USB-C) EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES.
There are lots of adapters out there. I know there are docks that will give you power but I am not sure where I saw them, might give it a google

Use the USB-3 ports to connect your drives.
The six Thunderbolt-2/DisplayPort jacks are for connecting the other five displays you did not buy, yet.
