Macbook Air strange noise

What would suddenly make my Macbook Air make a strange zipper noise every 5 seconds. I cooled it off and shut it down and it started right up again.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.4

Hello Halliganthegreat,

You may have something stuck in one of your fans that is causing the noise as the fan motor engages. I would take it to an Apple Store or Authorized Repair Facility so they could look into it.
