IPhone 12 battery issue

Since almost day one, My iPhone 12 charge wont last throughout the day. I am having to charge it midday. The phone is brand new. Battery health is at 100%. it doesn’t appear that any apps are using a lot of battery. I turned off all background. Sometimes my phone will get hot, the brightness goes low by itself. also, my screen is glitchy, and sometimes won’t respond to touch.

Hello Turbo76,

Let's start by making sure your iPhone 12 is all up to date using the steps below:

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see two software update options available, choose the one that you want to install.
The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 14.8 or iOS 15.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.
