I just found it in one of my old boxes and it’s telling me I need it connected to iTunes to turn it on I guess

iPod Touch (8GB) Hello, I recently found my old ipod touch. I know it's one of the first few generations... When I plug it in, it will show the battery charging, the Apple logo, and loading circles. However, that's all it seems to do... iTunes recognizes it with its old name... However, says I have to unlock it before accessing it... this doesn't seem to be an option... is there a way I can update it and access it through my PC on ITunes? -Foxtrotbb

How can I unlock my iPod 7th Generation when it says "Unavailable"? I have not used my iPod 7th Generation in a couple of years. I have since taken it off of list of devices. I want to start it up. I used the wrong password and now it shows unavailable. It will not show up in finder or iTunes. How can I start it up? [Re-Titled by Moderator]
