I have a Macbook Pro and when opening my processes on Activity Monitor, I briefly saw a process called xprotectremediatoradload. Does anyone know what that is and if that is a legit process? It said it was root.
I tried googling it but came up with nothing except articles about malware called AdLoad due to key words of xProtect and AdLoad and now I'm very worried I have it. Can someone please help me.

No, it's Mac's own anti-malware for that specific malware.
I can't believe an adware developer would name their process with their name, but maybe since they included XProtect.
Run Etrecheck and see if it finds anything out of the ordinary.
