Help! I got an iOS 6.1.3 iPhone 5 from a friend, but it is activation locked, and my friend can't remember the Apple ID used to sign into the phone originally

Hello all, I recently got a iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.3 from a friend, but it is activation locked, and my friend doesn't remember the Apple ID that was used to sign into the phone originally. Is there any way I could wipe off that Apple ID, and replace it with my own?

Thanks in advance!

There isn't a way for you to bypass activation lock. It is designed to deter you from doing that. You friend can get help from Apple Support, including the following: Activation Lock for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
