MP3 Download to iPhone
Only have an iPhone. No lap top or computer. Received MP3 download links via my gmail acct. Can I simply open, download the files? If so where to?

You can open the links, yes. Depending on how they are setup and the web browser you are using, they may play in the browser directly, or download to the Downloads folder in the Files App, or into the downloads folder in the browser app you used to open them.
You can also tap and hold on the link to the file and see if the menu offers a "Download Linked File" option. If it does it will download to the Downloads folder in the Files App.
You will not however be able to move them into the Music App directly on the iPhone.
You can play them from within the Files App, or form a 3rd party playback app however.
