Where is my Downloaded mp3 File?

I downloaded an mp3 file to my iphone using my Google Drive link. It says it was successfully downloaded, but I can't find it anywhere. It's a homemade audio mix of music I paid for. File is nowhere to be found. Not in Downloads, Files or Music. I tried sending it from Proton Drive. Same issue. Searched by file name - no luck. Why does Apple make simple tasks like this so convoluted? I rarely do this on my phone and I haven't messed with any settings. Should it not just land in downloads to let me do with it as I wish? Where is this file? Help!!

Hi peter4good,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you've downloaded an MP3 but you're unable to locate it. Did you download it via Safari? If so, you can check where Safari saves your downloads in Settings > Safari > Downloads.

This is a handy resource which will show you how to add music to the Music app: Get music on iPhone - Apple Support

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
