Turn off Find my Phone on a stolen device and from an already removed iCloud account

Hello everybody,

Unfortunately i am in a very difficult situation, I hope you can help.

My iPhone 13 Pro Max was stolen.

I have insurance (not Apple insurance) and my claim has been suspended until the locator "find my phone" is active.

I have deleted and removed my stolen device from my account via the website https://www.icloud.com/find/ and deleted my phone from my iCloud account.

Unfortunately, despite this, the "find my phone" is still active. I definitely need to turn this off, but I have no other ideas now.

Why do you think this might still be activated and what is the reason for this feature not being turned off?

If I understand correctly, from now on the thief can reactivate the device, does this not affect the above? What happens if it is assigned to a new iCloud account and the "find my phone" function is reactivated?

Unfortunately, I have read through all the advice on Apple's website but they have not been able to help me.

I'm simply very clueless as to who and how can help, so I trust my request is read by an expert who can help me solve my problem quickly.

Thank you in advance for your helpfulness,

Take care of yourself,

Levente

You have removed the device from find my iPhone on iCloud.com Remove a device from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com - Apple Support

You can erase the device Erase a device in Find My iPhone on iCloud.com - Apple Support

The other person who now possess the iPhone can never access the data as if find my iPhone was enabled initially , activation lock automatically activates , he can't use the device .
