Studio Display sound stops after a few seconds

Have a Studio Display purchased in May. In the last week or two sound plays for a few seconds then stops and there is silence. This is true on Youtube (using Safari), also on videos playing in Quicktime.

Very surprised by these shocking problems with this display. Previous to this I had a Thunderbolt Display for 10 years and never had a single problem.

What's the fix?

Well the fix for me was to shut down the computer (Mac Mini), unplug the Display, disconnect the display from the computer, wait 15 minutes, then reconnect and restart everything. Sound working properly now.

Still pretty nervous about this expensive display which has lot of bugs (had all kind of problems trying to update the firmware several weeks ago; actually had to take the display to Apple to get them to update it as it was bricked.)
