I keep getting gmail messages to my phone that say itsss sssoooo goood and how ARE you, man. It’s like messages being sent to my # that need an additional app or encrypted ? Anyone know? It’s a new number I e had for about a month.

Those messages are likely just spam trying to get you to click on sketchy links, If I were you I would just ignore them and delete them.
Just block the number and delete them.
Jake has the right of it. But, as it is gmail, report them as spam.
Of course, if it's coming from a gmail address, which most are you should report it. To further go away with it.
