Cloud Connectivity

I have two laptops, a Macbook Air (M1 2020, Monterey 12.4) and a refurbished MacPro (mid-2012, Catalina 10.15.17.) Each one is connected to my Cloud account individually. Each is connected to the same account identified with the same email. Each is connected with the Finder preference set to "Connected Servers." I am not able to access files created on one computer to open them on the other. Apple Tech Support has been unable to help me or give an explanation. Is this because the MacPro is obsolete? I welcome information from anyone else who has run into this. Would an Apple Store Genius be able to help? Thank you in advance. (PS- I bought my first Mac in 1984, so you can see I am a codger.)

If credentials for Apple ID account revealed by the seller for refurbished mac like Apple ID and its password , the secondary authentication account details ( three answers for respective questions , date of birth , rescue mail address and its own password ) and the seller followed the exact steps What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support ( the Mac OS was erased properly and once again you reinstall Mac OS with same Apple ID account credentials ) , the files can be shared between two Macs when signed in with same Apple ID and password on the same network Set up file sharing on Mac - Apple Support

Sync content between your Mac and iPhone or iPad - Apple Support ( this article will work when two Mac are connected with same Apple ID and password on the same network , the network connection should be of your internet service provider most probably it should be broad band connection ) , if this is used isp don't provide network to network connection .
