I have an Apple Watch SE and it logs my laps in a pool fine, but when logging an open water swim it is very inaccurate. Is there a model which enables me to record open water swims with the addition of a viewable map of the track taken?
Any other advice on logging swims welcome, thanks

To my knowledge the “Open water swim” workout on the watch does give a map as well as breakdowns of the strokes and distances. Are you making sure record an outdoor swim on your watch when you swim outdoors?

Make sure that the workout app has access to your precise location. To find this, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Apple Watch Workout.

There is nothing available below heart rate. Also it struggles to record heart rate while I’m swimming, is this normal? Could this be a watch model/phone model issue?
To measure distance the GPS in an open water swim you have to be doing a freestyle stroke.
