how do I open my own epub docs in Books?

I already exported them from Pages to epug and put them on iCloud drive

Navigate to the file in iCloud Drive on your phone, long press the file to bring up a pop-up box, select Share, and choose the Books app.

Downloaded epubs don't show up in the books folder Hi, I've added 20+ epubs to my Books account, all of which I bought outside Apple's Book Store. The books sync between my Macbook and iPhone without an issue. I was trying to find the downloaded epub files (~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks), but when I get there, the Books folder is empty. I checked my Books account, and to my surprise, it shows like I have no books in it (picture attached). Both my Mac and iPhone use the same iCloud account, so I don't know why this is happenning. Can anyone explain why does it happen? I'd like to fix this, so I can see the downloaded epub files on my Mac. Thanks, Ivan

Exporting epubs from Books I've uploaded many non-Apple epub books to Books. When I drag and drop them from Books to my computer, other programs (like Calibre) cannot read them. Are they stuck with some DRM or such? All the instructions that I've seen say you should be able to export them by drag and drop.

Exporting epub books from iBooks How can I transfer my books from iBooks to Google play books? They are all books that I purchased and uploaded to iBooks but now I can't take them out again. All the forums I looked at seem to require multiple third party apps and a fair amount of computer know-how, does this mean that Apple has basically stolen all of my privately purchased reading material and is now holding it hostage?
