Has you email provider switched to using App Specific Passwords? If so, you will need to generate a unique password for your iPad email account - that will differ from your normal Account Password. As examples - AOL, Yahoo, Google, Microsoft all use App Specific Passwords when using anything other than their own email client Apps.

If you need to generate an App Specific Password, you’ll need to log-in to your Mail Providers account management webpage - using a web browser - and generate the Password from the appropriate account security page.

More information about AOL’s App Specific Passwords can be found here:

For Yahoo, more information can be found here:

Use a New App Password:

Do you use an App Password? If so, try a new App Password. Sometimes, changes (i.e. updates) are made to the device, and then mail server syncing becomes an issue (which is what a new App Password it intended to fix). As an example, go here for gmail: Sign in with App Passwords - Google Account Help - Google

Will keep trying. Part of prob maybe legacy POP interface on my Em server because of needing to keep an old POP-based domain name/ Em addresses hanging off that HOWEVER nothing has changed with all that. I hope to re-do Em accounts on iPad as was suggested to delete and re-install each one. I hope I don't stuff that part up. Thx a lot - I'll see how we go.
