Set up new iPad yesterday, accidentally deleted an app, how do I get it back?

I set up a new iPad Air yesterday, accidentally deleted an app. How do I get it back? The app is on my iPhone and old mini iPad. Thanks!

If the App is still in the App Store, you can download it again. Just click on cloud-like symbol. If it is not in the store, it may have been discontinued or may not be updated to work with your new iPad.

You can try getting it back from an iCloud backup, if you have one, or just redownloading it from the App Store. If you can't do that, try using AirDrop to move the app over.

AirDrop an App

  1. Press and hold the App
  2. Select "Share App"
  3. Press "AirDrop"
  4. Select the recipient device
  5. Confirm the share on the recipient device
