what is Apple TV+ ?
I purchased an Apple TV box years ago. Never paid subscription. Why would I be billed for using it to stream Netflix or Crave?

You STILL wouldn’t be charged “extra” for streaming those services.
And using AppleTV hardware still has no monthly charge.
AppleTV+ is it’s own / additional
subscription-based service which provides streaming access to “Apple-produced content.”
