iMac won’t start

When I start my mac up it’s just stuck on the update bar half way and had been for hours. I have tried re booting it but it just keeps doing the same thing. Is there anyway to make it start up properly?

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 12.1

Please follow the suggestions offered, if the computer will not start up then you have some failed hardware. The next stop is to take the computer to your local Apple Authorized Service Provider to be serviced.
