Ios15.4 will not sync book on itunes

Updated to ios15.4 and tried to sync books on iTunes and it deleted all books

In Catalina you would use Finder to manage syncing, not iTunes. If you reboot your computer do find your expected content in both the Books and Music libraries?

Mac mine running Catalina 10.15.7. iTunes running 10.15.7

this morning IPOD sync would not show neither Music or Books high lighted for syncing?
