That is a normal thing for certain 3rd party licensed apps. For instance if your former OS was 32 bit and you upgrade to Monterey, you have to get the 64 bit versions and if it's a licensed product you'll need too buy the license.

Microsoft considers an upgraded Mac to be a completely new computer and you have to reactive Office. That's usually painless unless you have the 32 bit-64 bit situation.

Not knowing which apps you're talking about, I suggest you contact the developers of each..

Seasonality Core - All Locations must be reentered each time the app is opened. ViewCam - Restore purchase must be engaged and then it is necessary to import preferences from icloud each time app is opened. Pretty Good Solitaire- Favorite games are now lost each time app is closed. In addition on os 12.3, Microsoft Autoupdate displays 'Required Data Notice' several times a day. Upon checking the ÖK box, Microsoft Autoupdate notice re-occurs several times a day. I am using a 24 inch Imac with an M1 processor and 16 GB. ram. Any help would be appreciated. I should mention I have a macmimi with M1 chip and 16 GB ram that did not exhibit any of these behaviors when upgrade to os 12.3.
