iPhone 12 and 13 pro running iOS 15.1.1 cannot hear conversation from tcl flip phone when the iPhone originates the call. the call disconnects after about 20 seconds with a message on the iPhone to try enabling Wi-Fi settings. This does not work.
when the call originates from the tcl flip phone communication works in both directions. iPhones running earlier iOS seem to work. Have spent hours working with both Verizon and apple with no resolution.

The first suggestion would be to update to iOS 15.3.1 on your iPhone.

It may not be related, but iOS 15.1.1 was released by Apple about three months ago. Since then, iOS has been updated four times.
PROBLEM SOLVED!! The Flip Phone needed to be updated. Brand new phone - but it must have been sitting on the shelf for a while. It took 3 updates....and then everything worked great.
