Here is a built in way that will get you started.Free up storage space on your Mac - Apple Support Also this.Find and delete files on your Mac - Apple Support Also booting into safe mode can help get rid of cache files and some log files . Use the Shift key to boot up. Hold it down till you see the Apple Logo. Takes a little longer to boot and you will have to login.
