Apple TV Photos VERY slow to load

Since my Apple TV 4K (A2169 32GB) updated to TVOS 15.3 the photos (via Computer home sharing) are VERY slow to load. By ‘load’ I mean the time it takes from clicking on Photos or an Album and the thumbnails appearing. Subsequent viewing via slideshow option is reasonably quick and works fine.

Times to ‘load’ as defined above:

1000 photos: 1 or 2 seconds

3000 photos: 21 seconds

12700 photos: 400 seconds

24000 photos: 1800 seconds

The load times should rise in a linear fashion (roughly) but these are way out.

Before update to TVOS 15.3 even loading 24000 photos took under under 20 seconds.

I’ve tried:

Updating Mac Mini to Monterey: no difference.

Reset and update Apple TV 4K: no difference.

Reset Apple TV 4K: no difference (didn’t revert to earlier TVOS anyway)

It seems likely that a bug has been introduced with TVOS 15.3.

I’d be grateful if this could be added to the bug-fix list.
