I'm not hearing sound coming out of my computer.
I have done the following From the Apple menu , choose System Preferences. Click Sound. Click the Output tab, then select the built-in speakers. If you don’t see built-in speakers as an option in the Output window....
But i can't see an option for in built speakers.

Have you use external speakers lately?If so the external speaker plug could be jammed. Try reinserting the speaker plug a couple of times. Or if this is an intel MacBook Air do a SMC reset. Shut down, then hold Control -Option- Shift and power down for 10 seconds. Also Nvram reset. shut down and startup holding the Command -Option-P -R keys while starting up.
