Is it possible to drag files my APFS-formatted M1 Macbook Pro (Filevault enabled) to an external HD that is MacOS Journaled (encrypted)?

I have a storage drive -- not for Time Machine -- on which I store some important files from my APFS-formatted M1 MB Pro which has Filevault on. I've made a copy of this storage hard drive, and I've formatted both external drives as APFS (encrypted). I also would like to copy these files over to a third external hard drive that would be formatted as Mac OS Extended Journaled -- what issues, if any, might there be in creating or later using the MacOS Extended Journal drive? All my Macs are running Monterey, and I would not be using any of these drive for Time Machine.

My reason for making at least one drive copy in MacOS Extended Journaled is for the added security of not putting all my eggs in the APFS basket.

Thank you!

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)

Files on any formatted drive are like leaves floating on water, and unaffected by the underlying formatting decision. You should be able to select and drag/drop those files to another compatible drive, probably by providing the de-encryption password that the source drive may prompt you for access prior to the copy. I don't use any encrypted drives here, so the preceding may behave differently.
