Still saying GB of backup from my old iPhone on my new iPhone

Why does my old iPhone that I erased all content say 5.9GB of backup on my new iPhone? I erased all the content and settings off my old iPhone but when I go to my iCloud settings on my new phone and then go to backups it still shows 5.9 GB of data that I need to backup on my old phone.

Erasing an iPhone does not erase a backup that is stored on iCloud. If you no longer need the backup of the old phone, you can delete it. See the instructions in Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support
