2021 iMac USB connections

I am about to purchase a 2021 24"iMac with 512GB storage, and a Superdrive for CD's etc. Do I need an adaptor to connect it? If so which one is recommended? I also need to connect my existing external hard drive that has a USB B type connection. Do I need a separate adaptor for this too? Again, which one is reccomended?

You will need a USB-A to USB-C adapter for both. Like this:
