Safari for MacOs 10.11.

Solution:

Click on the black Apple in the upper left corner and then on software update.

Select what you want. In my case it was an OS security update 2020-002 (which did not change the version # of MacOs 10.13.6) and an update to Safari 13.1.

All seemed to go well and my MBP is as up to date as is possible.

Now all I have to do is find out what little surprises Apple has installed.

Already my MBP takes more time to do some little things than before.

Typical Apple. For all I know they have slowed my machine down intentionally to encourage me to upgrade.

Thanks. I did exactly that and found the version of Safari did not change from what I had with El Capitain.

It was still 11.1.2.

Now I find that Safari 13.0.4 exists and runs on High Sierra.

Where can I find a download that will install ?

I was all over the App store stuff but could not find an update to Safari.

To update Safari I had to update MacOs . I did that with the result noted above.
