Brand new ipad freezing at software update....now what?
Tried setting up a new ipad and we can't get past the preparing update step. It just sits for over an hour. Tried 3 times

Can you get to the Home Screen?

- If not, contact Apple Support for assistance with setting this up.

Why the Wait:
Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
