None of the links shown here on Apple ( https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683 ) for downloading High Sierra go anywhere. I am trying to upgrade the Sierra OS on this machine to High Sierra and not finding anyway to access the software. I cannot go to a later OS at this time as I need to migrate some data first. Any ideas?

If you get a corrupted message...
Naw, not damaged, it's just that you have an old copy already in Applications, there are 2 cures...
Disconnect from the Internet & set the Date back to 2014, then you can run the Install MacsOS High Sierra App in Applications, so expired Certificates are not expired.
Or... trash the Install MacsOS High Sierra.app in Applications, empty trash & restart, then a new copy of a more recent version can be downloaded…

I've only experienced the problem just now. The past few weeks have been fine for me.
Be sure you are using the Safari browser. Firefox and other may never work.

After some research, a solution to the broken download links has been found.
Pasting these into the Safari address bar works to access the App Store download page…

that worked for me -- thanks! Is there any reason you can think of that it will not work a second time? I shared the link with my husband who wanted to update his older iMac as well, and he is now getting the message that the file is damaged. That is the message we had been getting a few months ago.
Apparently there is a problem just now with the links for High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina and Big Sur.
Give it some time to get corrected and try again. Those links are normally correct.
I have been trying these links for several weeks. Doesn't seem to be getting corrected.
