When I try to update my watch from my phone it always tells me that my phone “is not connected to the internet” so it can’t update my watch. And when I’m connected to wifi it does the same thing. If it does semi try to connect it takes forever to load the software update.

see but the other problem is that the watch is not paired to my phone. I am trying to pair it but in order to do that I have to update it and the app keeps saying my phone is not connected to the internet when it is.

As I said in the original question it does the same thing when I am connected to WiFi.

Based on the screenshot you posted, you are not connected as you are using cellular, and you MUST be connected via Wifi.
Connect to the internet.
