Why can't I have separate settings for separate devices?

You can turn off the “share across devices” Tap settings, focus and turn off sharing across devices.

When you use Focus on one device, the setting is automatically applied across your Apple devices that are signed in with the same Apple ID. This feature is awful. It should be optional at best. I don't want the same settings.
